Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 6. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Newport KING EIDER, Fernhill Wetlands TUFTED DUCK, Ankeny NWR
YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER, Coos Bay PAINTED BUNTING, Norway CLAY-COLORED
SPARROW, Coquille BROWN THRASHER, and Joseph GYRFALCON continue to be seen.
The Hillsboro Library RUSTY BLACKBIRD was seen again February 5. On February
4 a possible KUMLIEN?S GULL was with a gull flock west of Halsey. The next
day a probable EASTERN YELLOW WAGTAIL was in the same area.

The wintering BURROWING OWL at Bethel Mountain in SW Coos County continues
to be see. On February 1 five CINNAMON TEAL were at Coquille. That day a
RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD visited a Coos Bay feeder. A flock of 34 OYSTERCATCHERS
was at Depoe Bay February 1.

The Tualatin NWR ROSS?S GOOSE continues to be seen. An adult GOSHAWK was
seen February 4 in Warren. A HARLAN?S HAWK was near Washougal February 1. A
CINNAMON TEAL and 17 TREE SWALLOWS were at Hagg Lake south of Forest Grove
February 3. A flock of 45 CANVASBACKS was along Hwy 22 near Rickreal January
31. About 190 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, 1800 DUNLIN, and about 200 PIPITS were
seen during the week in the fields along Smith Road near Halsey. Six TREE
SWALLOWS were there February 5. On February 5 a BRANT and a GOLDEN EAGLE
were at Ankeny NWR. A male BULLOCK?S ORIOLE was seen February 4 near Grants
Pass.

On February 1 an ANNA?S HUMMINGBIRD visited a Bend feeder. The next day a
TURKEY VULTURE was over Redmond.
