Today, Friday, Feb 7, I walked the northern portion of Crescent Lake WMA during the afternoon. After crossing the earthen bridge, I headed west along the berry bushes. Lots of sparrows, but I only saw the usual suspects. I did not see Harris's or Swamp.

Best sighting was a NORTHERN SHRIKE that landed briefly in a leafless tree behind (north) of the berry bushes at 1:45pm (about 100 yards west of the earthen bridge).
