Just to be clear, the photos of the gull recently posted by Roger Moyer are NOT the Kumlien's Gull originally found by Bill Tweit a week or so earlier. That bird had more dark pigment in the outer primaries than the bird in Rogers photos. By comparison, the Kumlien's from Goodrich road was slimmer with a smaller bill, and appeared longer winged. It is difficult to tell from the photos, but I suspect it also had a paler mantle. The overall impression of the bird was quite different.

The bird in Rogers photos appears heavier/ bulkier and shorter winged, with a rather heavy bill.
