The Emperor Goose was on the irrigation pond this morning at 7:10 am with a
group of Canada Geese. After flying from Knapp Road after sunset last
night it apparently stayed on the pond throughout the storm. Again this
pond is just east of Knapp Road. (A half mile west of Diamond Point
Road) I was able to pull over on Highway 101 and see the bird on the
pond. I saw a Wilson's Snipe on Knapp Road while turning around on
a gravel road.
