The yard warbler that still frequents my yard and Bodacious Suet Butter (as well as other suet types ), has been pretty much confirmed (by Dennis Paulson) to be a gray-headed subspecies of Orange-crowned Warbler, namely the northern/eastern subspecies Oreothylpis celata celata, as opposed to the other northerly subspecies, Oreothylpis celata orestera, the Rocky Mt. subspecies or the western WA breeding subspecies, Oreothylpis celata lutescens.
So, there you have it !
Thanks again to all who got into the discussion.
