I just ran into a couple from the TriCities that was able to briefly scope a bird on the distant telephone pole from just past the white house near 127. We all thought it looked promising and all but one person got views before it moved to a location that was difficult to view. It is raining now so I am leaving but there might be more updates.

>> On the afternoon of Tuesday (2/11) I located the Gyrfalcon in a cottonwood tree near the end of 103rd St SE (GPS coordinates: 47.903138,-122.074124) just south of the large wrecking yard. It was nice to finally get a good look at a species that I've only seen very distantly or very poorly before that.

They were not visible from the park itself, but were visible from a pullout along Old Snohomish-Monroe Rd just south of 144st SE (GPS coordinates: 47.86409,-122.033034). It's a nice big pullout with plenty of room to set up a spotting scope and scan the fields below. Those fields also held at least 7 Red-Tailed Hawks as well as a few Harriers and Bald Eagles. About a month ago there were a couple Short-Eared Owls there as well, hunting at dusk.
