Yesterday, 2/14, around 2 pm Jane Hadley and I saw 8 Western Bluebirds in
Pacific County. We were on the Palix-South Bend Rd, about 1 mile from the
Palix (Bay Ctr) end, at the bridge over the Niawiakum River. The terrain
there is a fairly broad marsh/meadow on both sides of the river, which is
not much more than a creek at that point. The immediate habitat looked
suitable for bluebirds.

We watched them for about 10 minutes as they moved around in the vicinity
of the road then lost them as they moved upstream.
