The Newport KING EIDER, Coos Bay PAINTED BUNTING, Ankeny NWR YELLOW-THROATED
WARBLER and the LaGrande RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER continue to be seen. On
February 15 a RUSTY BLACKBIRD was at the Kirtland Road Sewage Ponds at White
City.

West winds during the week brought a very heavy southward KITTIWAKE movement
close to shore. On February 16 an adult RED-LEGGED KITTIWAKE was seen among
them off Depoe Bay. A few RED PHALAROPES were reported along the coast with
one inland at the Philomath Sewage Ponds February 16.

A male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was at a feeder February 16 in South Beach, south
of Newport. An immature GLAUCOUS GULL was at the South Jetty of Yaquina Bay
February 14. A male and two female BARROW?S GOLDENEYES were on Siletz Bay at
Lincoln City February 15. The wintering Astoria MOCKINGBIRD was seen again
February 17.

A large flock of northward migrant TREE SWALLOWS was over Medford February
19. A flock of migrant SANDHILL CRANES were near Scio February 16. Several
hundred were on Sauvie Island that day. Also on the Island that day were
eleven BALD EAGLES and eleven TRUMPETER SWANS.

On February 16 two ROSY-FINCHES were on Gray Butte south og Madras. The male
RED-BREASTED MERGANSER continues at the Redmond Sewage Ponds.
