Subject: [Tweeters] Fox Sparrow Question

Hi All,

For a couple of days a reddish fox sparrow has been been joining the sooty ones around my feeder located west of Olympia. It's not quite as red as the one illustrated in Sibley, but it does have a red and gray face, streaky back, gray rump, and two wing bars. One book I have (Birds of Washington State by Bell and Kennedy) says there are "a few records" of red ones in Washington, so I am curious about the status of this type around here. Any help from Tweeters would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Anders Price
