Wow - just had a Cooper's (I'm a little unsure if it might have been a Sharpie, but it did seem bigger and had bigger head and legs and longer tail) - in our yard. Husband first noticed it on top of our feeding station. Then it went to the dogwood and to our fence and down to the lawn! It may still be here - the crows are raising cain. Had a very roufousy chest. When it flew it did seem like a more squarish tail, but the size seemed too big for a Sharpie. Either way, very exciting. Luckily we don't see a shower of feathers raining down.

Got a couple of photos. The birds have the "all clear". The Ruby Crowned just flashed his head per hubby. I'm in here typing to Tweeters.

We had a pair of towhees out front - facing off in our smoke tree.

In "das boot" (Vive la boot as Gary Bletch would say...:) for two more months - but at least I can still bird from the house!
