I was happily looking at Hank Heilberg's Trumpeter swan photos(#7... 2/22/14 ) and then I saw the yellow "necklace" on the feeding swan.
Is that really a "banded" swan or trash trapped on its neck?
Either way it made me so sad. How disturbing to see on a wild creature. How awful to witness.
