Hello, Tweets,

We?ve added a new Neah Bay birding trip to the Olympic BirdFest this year that should be of interest to Tweeterdom. The trip is April 2-3, including a full-day of guided birding to the best hotspots around Neah Bay on April 2nd, then a pelagic boat trip to the Juan de Fuca Canyon shelfbreak west of Cape Flattery on April 3rd. The Makah Indian Nation is helping with the trip, providing ground transportation around their reservation. The costs includes one night?s lodging April 2nd at Hobuck Beach Resort, ground transportation, bag lunches, halibut dinner, breakfast in the morning, the pelagic trip on M/V Wind Song, and guides Denny Van Horn and me. All you have to do is make it to Neah Bay by 8:30 am on April 2. Neah Bay and surroundings is one of the most unique and unbirded areas of the Pacific Northwest, frequently turning up interesting birds.

The regular Olympic BirdFest with many field trips centered around Sequim happens April 4-6 (see http://www.olympicbirdfest.org). After the festival we have a three-day birding trip to the San Juan Islands that?s always a lot of fun (see http://www.pugetsoundexpress.com/whale-watching-and-wildlife-tours/audubon/). Check it out!
