Gary and Tweets:

The male Tanager can still be seen from the Skagit Wild Bird Supply on Memorial Hwy. It's a great place with feeders all around and very helpful staff.

Birding is best done from inside where you can move around without flushing the birds and, on a day like today, stay warm and dry!

Thanks for posting this Gary!

The feeders had hundreds of birds, mostly Red-winged Blackbirds, with a few American Goldfinches, juncoes, and so forth. As I was watching those birds, the tanager flew in and began foraging on bare earth, always near shrubbery for cover. It stayed near the northwest corner of the building the whole time.
