Helping Samantha move to Blaine today and took an hour to check out Dragon Harbor and Semiahmoo. LOTS OF SNOW!! But some nice birds including 10 Varied Thrushes in a group feeding on the side of plowed Drayton Harbor Road. Reminded me of Horned Larks in Waterville area. Also the female Mountain Bluebird remains at Semiahmoo but she has moved (at least on this snowy day) to the shrubs right at the turnaround at the end of the road next to the Windermere Realty building. Lots of Dunlin (estimate at least 500) at Drayton Harbor plus Oystercatcher, Semipalmated Plover, Killdeer, Black Turnstone (8) and Surfbirds (90% sure) on Semiahmoo Spit. Still snowing HARD!!
