Hello WA birders,
My wife and I are taking a quick trip Washington
this week, and we are planning on doing some birding while we are down
south. Our plan is to spend a day and a half birding the Olympic
Peninsula and Olympic National Park. We will be spending the weekend in
Bremerton, and will have a few chances to take some quick birding
outings in that area as well. There are a few species that we are hoping
to observe and would love any advice about locations that we should
visit.

We are really hoping to see a Eurasian Wigeon. I've seen
some pretty recent sightings on Ebird, but would love any suggestions of
productive locations.

The other birds that we are hoping to see
should be relatively common. We don't get very many Brandt's Cormorants
or Western Gulls where we live in AK. Are there any reliable spots to
see California Quail on the Olympic Peninsula or around Seattle??

Thanks in advance for your advice. We are both looking forward to enjoying your beautiful state.
