Hi Tweets,

Finally I crossed roads with the Snohomish Gyr after 5 tries! It was at the
same place that Chris Warlow reported on Saturday below:

When you come off US2 at Snohomish take a left on 115th (before you reach
town). Drive past the ball fields and paintball place, 103rd is a short
dirt road at the end near the junk yard. There are a group of tall
cottonwoods at the end of the road and this seemed to be it's favourite
perch.

When you see a dumped old couch at the Private Property sign, park there
and look to your left, the bird was perched in the middle of the left side
of the second tall cottonwood tree. It was preening and still there when I
left at 9:20am today. Beautiful bird with light breast, dots on the breast
and horizontal streaks at the sides of the lower body. Took some photos but
not good due to back lighting.

A group of about 50 Trumpeter swans and 4 Canada Goose were in the field
there also.

Good luck,

Qinglin Ma
