> I hobbled out into the yard today in my boot and pulled up a chair next to the ball of fuzz for nests. The hummers have taken from it the last couple of years and flown to the neighbors and beyond. Well this am as I watched her pull some fluff off, I waited to see the direction she flew and this time she lifted up into a White Pine right next to our deck. I followed her and saw her light onto a branch and settled right into a nest - the proverbial "bump on a log"!! (It's quite good sized too). It's very easy to watch her as it's not hidden and she can come right down to feed when she needs some energy.
