On the Seattle Audubon field trip to the Samish
and Skagit area yesterday led by Vicki King, in
addition to a lot of fun after the fog lifted, we
had a number of great birds including a Bittern
at Wylie Slough, a very cooperative Northern
Shrike eating worms off the road at Jensen Access,
a beautiful pair of Short Eared Owls and a
Possible/Probable Harlan's Hawk in addition to the
expected swans and geese. Great job by Vicki
leading the group and navigating the fog.
