Hello Tweeters,

Today, despite hundreds of people enjoying a walk around
Green Lake, we spotted three raptors: a Cooper's Hawk enjoying some hapless
bird for lunch not far from the Bath House Theater, a Merlin scattering
scores of small birds from the pines near Aurora, and a Red-tailed Hawk
sitting where the Bald Eagle usually sits on the island. I kept looking for
an eagle, but couldn't find one until I was driving home and then saw one
near I-5 and NE 80th.

Also of interest were two Scaup-Lesser Scaup, I think, in
the lake.

Good birding! Charlotte Byers, Seattle
