Hi Everyone,

I'm coordinating the Seattle Audubon High School Program this year, which does monthly field trips, gets them involved with restoration, outreach, and science projects, and has meetings with guest presenters on a variety of subjects. We also do an annual spring trip, which this year, as a result of some mixing up of staff and time, will actually be moved to late June (or there abouts). The plan so far is to drive between Seattle and Glacier National Park (and a bit beyond into the prairie), birding and learning along the way.

While I am open to suggestions about places to bird, I'm more curious if anyone has particular beads on environmental education centers en route, particularly awesome places a group of students could stay during a 10-12 day trip there, Etc. We'll be trying to keep costs low, so camping and mostly free activities are great but if someone thinks "I know this river float/night drive/private environmental lodge" I'd love to hear about it. I'm hoping the students will get a great opportunity to see good birds en route (we'll be birding N to NE WA enroute), possibly learn about research/conservation efforts across the region, and just have fun outdoors.

Equally so, if you know enthusiastic high school aged birders in the region that might like to participate in the program/trip please send them my way!
