The River ?S? Unit of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge will be
temporarily closed to public use starting Monday, January 27th through
Tuesday, January 28th for geotechnical drilling along Refuge roadways. The
geotechnical drilling will help plan future road and bridge improvements at
the Refuge.

During this period the entire River ?S? Unit will be closed to public use
to accommodate geotechnical work within the current Refuge access road. The
Carty Unit will remain open for hiking, wildlife observation, and
photography.
