My initial conclusion was incorrect. A special thanks to John Puschock and Mike Denny for suggesting the correct bird. It turns out the bird was a BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE. I knew there was a problem with the bill color and mantle. But the first ID was the closest I could come up with. The head markings are what threw me the most. I thought the bird was one of the gull types with a black head. Just goes to show how much help this group can be. The BLACK-HEADDED GULL would have been a lifer or me. As it is the Kittiwake is a county first.
