If you look around outdoor lights during the winter in our area, you'll almost always see some insect activity. I see moths on our windows on most nights. A researcher here in Olympia has been documenting winter bat activity and has found a lot of it. The bat at Lake Washington may have just been drinking, but I'll bet she was snacking, too.
