Hi Birders,

Just before 4:00 p.m. this evening I got a call (sorry I do not remember
who) that the Northern Hawk Owl had been laying in the south bound lane of
Mountain View Road. The bird flew when approached then tried to perch in a
tree branch but could not and was captured. I was able to get there and
take it to Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital where it
is in good hands. I will keep everyone posted as soon as I know more about
the condition of this gorgeous medium sized owl.
