hi all ... for all you Tufted Duck affectionados - there are 2.5 Tufted Ducks in Clark County !!! ... and today Gene and I saw two of them !!! ... unfortunately we weren't aware of Randy H's hybrid at Tidewater Cove until after we had left Marine Park and were at Fallen Leaf Lake ... just didn't want to go back ...

anyways, we first found the male nicely tufted duck which Randy Hill found on saturday ... we saw him just upstream of the Marine Park boat ramp ... while we were there we ran into Ray Korpi who said the duck was up near the boat ramp early in the day ...

we then drove to the Lacamas Lake area to see if the Tufted which has been hanging out there for the past 3 years had returned yet ... HE WAS THERE !!! ... we found him at Fallen Leaf Lake (Dead Lake on the maps) where he ended up at last year ...

while at Fallen L Lake we learned about the hybrid Randy saw today at Tidewater Cove ... we skipped him and headed home ...

LOTS of other species seen today too ...
