I visited NOAA, next to Magnuson this morning, and was surprised to find
that they have erected a tall poll with a next platform near the docks.
There was one osprey on the nest and a second was actively fishing nearby.
I may have missed it, but I don't remember any mention of this nest and
pair of Ospreys on Tweeters.
I looked for the LTMockingbird at the gate to the dog park without
success. But as we were leaving NOAA, a bird flew into the top of a large
aspen near the docks, and it certainly had all the marks expected for that
bird.
If you are interested in visiting NOAA, it is open, 8AM to 4PM
weekdays, but closed on weekends and federal holidays. You only need to
show ID at the gate.
