For what it's worth, these birds were currently being offered this spring at an exotic bird, import station in southern California near South El Monte.

I use to very active with the exotic bird importing for 20 or so years. Here in the US, these birds are not extremely popular as caged birds but they are offered from time to time.

They are currently out of stock or flew the coop--(oops, they're not a fancy chicken).
