Best part is the final 1/3, during which One-der runs around the nest cave flapping. One week to go until first flight and leaving the confines of the nest.
This has been fun, thanks in great part to Ralph's helpful and frequent good videos of this eyrie. It was also great to go over there and find the eyrie and watch the chick. May try for one more trip, but temps are likely to be in the nineties and not so inviting. Plus, the local Merlins are fledging... :-)
