Today, Sherry and I hiked up to the Lower Skyline trail by way of Golden Gate. Most of the trail is still under snow with small patches of exposed trail. Just a little ways before the Lower Skyline junction, Sherry spotted our only WHITE-TAILED PTARMIGAN. It was about 30ft down slope in a lush meadow area. Other birds were;
