Around noon today, I found 3 HEERMAN'S GULLS at Altoona, in Wahkiakum. They were on a sandbar, with about 30 Ring-billed Gulls, and dozens of American White Pelicans. As the tide was incoming, while I watched, the sandbar disappeared, and the gulls flew off to the NW. I believe these are new for the county.
