Subject: [inland-NW-birders] Eastern Wood-Pewee Returns to Grant County

I was at Lee Williams' chestnut farm today and almost immediately started
hearing an Eastern Wood-Pewee. It called several times, but would
sometimes go 10 minutes w/o calling. Anyway, I was able to get some video
(which didn't want to focus), but you can hear it calling in the video.
The last few frames of video come into focus. It seems lighter colored
than the Westerns especially around the throat. Pretty nuts. I have to
think this is the same individual as last year. He sure seems to like this
spot. He was hanging around the tall trees right by the house, but was
regularly coming down to eye level and flew right past my legs once. Lee
said folks can come out if they want to see it. He would just like a call
in advance.
