Hi Henry,

14 or so Purple Martins in one place in Lewis County is a very noteworthy observation. To my knowledge, reports and records of martins in Lewis are very few and far between in recent decades, and only involve a solitary pair or a single bird.

Hi, Tweeters,

I was taking a walk near Pacific Avenue in Centralia and decided to explore a
logging road. After a bit of walking I came to a big logged area, and flying
all around were about fourteen or so Purple Martins. I've never seen these
birds anywhere besides in nest boxes by open water.

If you want to look for them, contact me off list for specifics. Have a good
day!
