The first Monday of each month I lead a City of Kenmore sponsored Nature Walk though Wallace Swamp Creek Park.
Seven people turned out today. The weather was perfect, sunny sky and moderate temperatures. Highlights included views by everyone of a Bushtit nest and a pair of Red-breasted Sapsuckers making repeated food deliveries to their begging brood.

I need to work on my multi-tasking skills. I spent too much time talking and only recorded a few of the species we saw. To rectify this I walked the loop a second time alone after the others left.
Total Species count =23 the rest of the group missed the 3 recently fledged Hairy Woodpeckers trying to keep up with the parent who was teaching them how to feed themselves.
