Subject: [Tweeters] American Redstart near Bullfrog Pond, Cle Elum area

Twenty-four years ago almost to the day (June 9, 1990), Phil Mattocks, Lee Barnes, Mike Seamans, Tom Eckert and I found a singing male American Redstart in this exact same place. It stayed around for a number of days and was seen by many birders.

It does look like really good redstart habitat. I?ve been back at least annually, though, around the same time of year, and Bullfrog is visited by many birders, so it?s unlikely that another redstart put in an appearance before today's.
