Hi Paul,
My boys and I enjoy the Larkwire Birdsong Master Birder app available at
the iTunes app store. It works like a quiz game and plays groups of
similar sounding songs and calls so that you can compare and contrast
them quickly and easily. It keeps track of your progress and adds
complexity (more sounds/species to choose from) as you get better at
differentiating between species. You can also pick a specific species
to listen to, and each one has several recordings taken in different
locations. We have spent fun hours playing the game and I would highly
recommend it.
