Somehow missed a bat walk that was supposed to happen tonight but a walk
through one of my favorite refuges was not a bad plan B.

Saw:

Northern Harrier

Purple Martins harassing the Harrier who was continuously circling their
gourd apartment complex

Tree swallows

Kestral

Common Yellowthroats all over the place

Robins all over the place

Great Blue Heron

Red Winged Blackbirds

American Goldfinch

Missed the Lazuli Buntings which I had seen in previous years and has been
seen by others this year

A good consolation was a Bullock's Oriole in the tall Cottonwoods by the
Columbia River

Another fun thing was coming across a Painted Turtle excavating a nest by
the trail.
