hello everyone,
the brown pelican, named "pink" for its leg band, was recently released
back to the wild in San Pedro, CA. the bird's pouch had been mutilated by
an unknown person or persons. after nearly 7 weeks in an animal hospital,
the bird was successfully rehabilitated and released. a blue leg band was
given to the bird shortly before release, bearing the number: V70. if,
