This morning there was an Eastern Kingbird actively feeding around the pond
that is adjacent to the boat ramp parking lot at Magnuson Park. The pond
is just to the north of the boat ramp parking lot. While I was there it
ranged from the end of the pond nearest the lake to the road at the other end
of the pond - the road that separates that pond from the next one. It
perched on various snags and bushes and moved around a lot. I was able to
get a number of pictures.
I notice that there was an eBird report of Eastern Kingbird at the same
place on June 3, so maybe this bird has stuck around all that time. I
haven't seen any other reports, though, so I thought I'd mention it. It's the
first one I've seen on this side of the Cascades.
