Hi all,

I headed home from the WOS conference yesterday and then headed up to southern PO county this morning to hopefully find the Alder Flycatcher that Matthew Moskwik found.? His directions are perfect, after parking in the pullout just east of the "lone star" mailbox, I stepped out in the rain and began to listen for the bird.

I have zero experience with this species and clearly after I heard it the first time I knew it was not a Willow Flycatcher.? Very quick song - I would characterize it as a buzzy "rip-saw."? I did not try to call it in closer, but I listened to it for about 20 mins and it seemed to be moving around on the far side of the river.

This location is only 30 mins north of Spokane.
