Here in Yakima County they used to be fairly notable 8-10 years ago, with only a few occurring each fall. The records are certainly increasing with it being a somewhat regular bird in Yakima and the east slopes of the Cascades in summer/fall dispersal for the past couple of years. They have also been appearing sooner with June sightings now occurring in the county of both adults and juveniles. A few birds do survive the winter (feeder assisted) and stick around through early spring. To my knowledge they have not been documented as a breeder in Yakima County, but with spring sightings of adults it is possible this has occurred and just not been documented yet.
