Tweets, A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was calling very half-heartedly at the Mull
St marsh on Sunday, 8pm. Location: SR507 on the E outskirts of Tenino; turn
N onto Mull St; park on the shoulder near the bridge; the bird was along
the wetland edge south of the bridge. Note: In my limited experience with
chats around here, playback makes them go silent. Also, near the football
stadium at Tenino High School there is at least one pair of PURPLE MARTIN
nesting in a utility pole. This is not an easy species to find away from
Puget Sound. Good birding!
