hello everyone,

i found a video that i feature here that discusses how reintroduction of
wolves in Yellowstone NP has benefitted the rivers there, and yes, it's
even benefitted our beloved birds:

long URL:

short URL:

even though i know this appears to be an off-topic message, i think the
essay and the accompanying video provide a powerful and interesting
real-life lesson about the connectedness of all life -- and how removing
one member from an ecological community changes that community forever.
this is a theme i've explored a bit in the past (especially the story of
atlantic cod) and will be exploring more in the future.

i hope the piece is enlightening and thought-provoking.

cheers,
