Wow, the wind is really whipping up...how she holds on I'll never know!!

This morning I could see her bill covered with water droplets, wondering how she kept her nest from filling up with water! (Wondering how they're surviving in LA! One friend emailed me and said a friend in CA put an umbrella over the nest!)

Just a few minutes ago (just before 4 pm) another female came right up to her in the nest and there was a chase off! The she came back and settled back down. She's been feeding fine - came down right next to me while I had the scope on her nest. She's been adding fluff here and there.

Wondering how long before they hatch.

This is nervous work! :)) But such a thrill! Still working at getting a better photo - finding her "best side". :) Many times she's facing east and her tail toward me. Is she telling me something? :)))
