Anyone else see the Shoveler on the large pond on the south west part of
the fill, that looks somewhat like an eclipse plumaged male except its
head is a mottled whitish-gray with green flecks in it? Bill is yellow,
bright yellow eye.
Is this a slower than average individual in a species that is known for
slowly progressing plumage change? A couple of us were pondering the
question today.
