Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 13. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On March 10 a PARAKEET AUKLET was observed flying south past Boiler Bay. The
Waldport HOODED ORIOLE, Hillsboro RUSTY BLACKBIRD, Newport KING EIDER, and
the Coos Bay PAINTED BUNTING continue to be seen.

On March 9 two ROCK SANDPIPERS were on Barview Jetty at Tillamook Bay. That
day a CASPIAN TERN was over Youngs Bay in Astoria.

Also on March 9 a blue phased SNOW GOOSE was on Sauvie Island. A GOLDEN
EAGLE was over downtown Portland March 11. The next day four migrant TURKEY
VULTURES were over northeast Portland. On March 7 a SAY?S PHOEBE was near
the Hillsboro Airport. A FERRUGINOUS HAWK was seen March 10 near Sheridan.
Two CLIFF SWALLOWS were seen March 12 at Fern Ridge Reservoir.

A number of apparent migrant KILLDEER were in the Madras area March 11. The
Joseph GYRFALCON continues to be seen. On March 8 a group of three SNOW
BUNTINGS was near Flora in the northeast corner of the state.
