Subject: [Tweeters] Confuse a Carolina Wren's song?

I lived for 18 years in Mobile, AL where teakettle, teakettle, teakettle
is a familiar wake up song. (In fact, it's a familiar song throughout
the day.) Long before I started birding I knew a Carolina Wren's call
by volume alone. That anyone familiar with Carolina Wren could mistake
its call (and volume) with a Bewick Wren's seems preposterous to me but
maybe that's because my hearing is lousy and my birding by ear isn't
much better. I can say that in the few years I've birded on the west
coast, I've never heard a bird that I would confuse with a Carolina
Wren. I hope this sighting turns out to be correct; I'd love to hear a
Carolina Wren's cheery song in my (relatively) new home state.
