Paul Hicks asked if anyone knew how many birds cross North America during migration.? The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service report?on Migratory Bird Mortality estimates that 10 billion birds breed in North America, and the fall population may reach 20 billion.? It puts number killed by collisions with windows, buildings and other man-made structures at up to 936 million.
