Tweeters, Inlanders,
Tina and I found a male TUFTED DUCK in the western end of Cow Lake late this afternoon. It had a nice long tuft that it flipped around as it preened. We viewed it from a high point on the road against the fence. It was in with a large number of Lesser Scaup.
Other good birds for the day included a male Eurasian Wigeon on the pond off the entrance road to Cow Lake and a male Mountain Bluebird in the ravine near the Ritzville STP and cemetery.
Good Birding,
Rick
