Hi Tweets,

Hugh Jennings led Eastside Audubon for a trip to south peninsula on
Saturday (3/22). The weather was mostly sunny and at about 50 deg. 18
people in 5 cars joined this trip. Birding started from the Southworth
ferry crossing from West Seattle, then we stopped at the Harper Park,
Manchester boat launch, Manchester State Park and finally the Theler
Wetland.

Highlights are:

All 3 kinds of cormorants in breeding plumage

Rufous Hummingbird (a male Rufous Hummingbird has been at the end of the
trail each year. It showed up this year too!)

1 American Bittern (heard only)

2 Wilson's Snipes

4 Turkey Vultures

1 Black Turnstone

2 Harlequin Ducks
