Hi Tweeters -

A wonderful sunbreak now at 6:35pm. I just "heard" a "J Dive" - several...a nice sound to brighten the sad news of this week at Oso, WA. Amazing people out there working...and those wonderful dogs!

I only wish I could share this little tiny nest with them - a small burst of life. The little birds are growing and can see them (mostly one) moving in the nest - almost like the ZZZquil commercial - streeeetttch, then sleep some more until mom comes with a meal. I hope I can capture another photo of the "twins" for their fans.

It was quite a day at the feeding station today - V. Thrush (female), a pair of Fox Sparrows (decided they have been here vs. Hermit Thrushes), flickers (flicker dropped a peanut and a Fox sparrow did a quick steal and ran under the sarcococca), Downy, Townsends Warbler, chickadees - chestnut and blackcapped, B. Wrens, Ruby-crowned kinglet (he's been here quite a lot lately - loves the suet), juncos, a courting pair of Towhees, bushtits (I've been seeing a pair, but no sign of nesting in my garden this year...yet).

I've tried to test my memory w/out looking at the list I kept today (I'll check after I send this). It was quite a feeding frenzy today and a burst of spring - even in the rain. The sun is still shining...(6:52pm)

Have a great evening, Tweeters.
